What do we do?
Medovent's novel chitosan fibre is available in diameters from 0.05 - 0.40 mm. It comes with mechanical strength and natural antimicrobial properties. We can introduce shape memory properties to further enhance the material and explore novel applications.
What makes it special?
Because of its hydrophilic nature, Medovent's filament has a smooth surface and soft appearance that decreases unwanted tissue irritation while supporting tissue regeneration. Comparable handling charcteristics and tensile strength in combination with intrinsic antibacterial properties give Medovent´s material a clear advantage when compared to coated filaments.
